Google Checkout For Merchants Retiring-What does this mean for our Customers?

Google has announced that it will be retiring it's Google Checkout for Merchants program.

ATTENTION: On November 20, 2013, Google Checkout will no longer be supported. Sellers of digital goods on Google (Google Play, Chrome Web Store, Offers Marketplace and Google Wallet for digital goods) will automatically transition to Google Wallet and will not be impacted. Learn more.

Retiring Google Checkout Announcement

On November 20th, 2013, Google will shut down its Checkout product. Here’s how this may affect you:

• Merchants selling digital goods may transition to Google Wallet for digital goods
• Merchants selling through Google-hosted marketplaces (e.g. Google Play) will be unaffected
• Merchants selling physical goods will need to switch to third-party alternatives (see below)

This decision was not made lightly—ultimately, we decided our focus is best concentrated on other areas of the payments space. As we begin to sunset this product, you can expect to see a number of changes through 2013:

Next, listed below are, specific deadlines in the transition phase; steps you need to take to process your final orders, receive your payouts. and remove any Google Checkout links/payments from your site, etc.

Paying Attention to Detail Can Save You From Costly Mistakes

Most of us all can remember some time in our lives when we've heard the words, "pay attention". Maybe it was from a parent, a teacher, a driver's ed instructor, or just your inner voice shaking you up from your daydreaming, and bring you back to the real world. Nevertheless, whatever voices you heard, it was surely a beckoned calling; one that would help save you from costly mistakes.

Some things you can do:

1.  Take your time: Whether you are writing an article, reading a book, reviewing your bookkeeping entries for the week, entering customer orders in your Customer Management Databases/Order Carts, or creating and going over a shopping list for the week, it is important to pay attention to detail. People seem to be so busy these days. It's important to slow down, and review the details of everything that you do.
2. Proofread: Especially when writing for others, or editing a report, it's important to proofread, in case you have made mistakes. You can then fix the errors before they get out of hand.
3. Stay organized: Keep your thoughts organized and focused on your tasks. Keep your desk and office free from clutter. (This helps with the focusing on tasks, and helps you pay attention more clearly)

These are just a few simple steps you can take to help you pay attention to detail. They will keep you from having to redo things, prove your competency, prove that you care about accuracy, and make yours, and others' lives easier

BBB Business Review of Rhino Mart Wholesale Distribution - Surplus and Salvage Merchandise Stores - Chino, CA

Rhinomart Inc. is a wholesale distributor, located in Chino, California. This company has had several complaints filed against it with the Attorney's General Office, the Better Business, and the local California Business Licensing Office. There are many other complaints against this company on complaint boards like Ripoffreport.com and Complaintsboard.com.
So what is the point of filing a complaint? We look to our suppliers and distributors, not only for great products and prices, but great service. This company is fraudulent. We owe it to one another to report companies like these. These Internet thieves rob each trusting person out of countless numbers of dollars each day. We need to know that we can do something about it. We need to take a stand.

I purchased products from Rhinomart in the past. They were slow on shipping, but they finally did ship my products. Now it has been over 3 months, (order placed 2/22/11), still have not received my purchase of $173.34 as of 5/7/2011. I wanted to share this story, so that people who have been victimized by this company can rise up, and fight back. People like this need to be shut down, made to pay every dime back and be dealt with according to the law.

If you have been a victim of Rhinomart Inc. (Rhinomart.com), here's some steps you can take:

• First, gather all pertinent information necessary for filing a complaint. File a complaint with the following companies, The Better Business Bureau at http://www.bbb.org and the Attorney General of California at http://ag.ca.gov/contact/complaint_form.php?cmplt=CL
•  Be vigilant. Be sure to check out a company that you are unfamiliar with, if you feel that they are not legitimate. If a company is unreachable, and does not respond to your legitimate concerns, then that's a red flag right there. You can find information on a company to see whether they are legitimate by contacting the city in which the business exists; the local licensing department. You can also check the Better Business Bureau, though all companies may not be listed. This doesn't mean they are bad if they are not, so don't fret. You can also visit RipoffReport.com at http://www.ripoffreport.com and search the name of businesses. People use these boards to spread the news of fraud. Also, keep up with your local business news sites. Many stories pop up in the local and federal news about the bad guys.
• Be sure to use a credit card so that you can dispute any fraudulent transactions with your credit card company. Don't deal with checks or money orders. Services like PayPal and Google Checkout assist buyers with Fraudulent Transactions. So if you use any of these services, then you are covered.
• Keep accurate records of your purchases, in case you need to refer back to records, should a problem arise. 
• Stay safe on the Internet. If you do use your credit card on the Internet with a company, be sure they are using a secure website. You should see https:// during the checkout page. It is actually required by law for companies who process credit cards these days to have an SSL certificate in place, with the exception of those companies who strictly use PayPal. Paypal handles the SSL encryption needed for credit card processing.  For those who process Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, etc, then, I would advise you to use extreme caution against sites that do not have SSL encryption.
